Canceled because of the pandemic in 2020, the 14th exhibition of VendExpo will be held in Moscow at Expocentre on March 23-25, 2021 together with the self-service systems WRS5.
2020 turned out to be a difficult for everyone, including the vending community, because of the restrictions imposed against the pandemic. The automated market is going through difficult times: reduction in turnover reached 70% and sometimes 90%, compared to the same period (spring-summer 2019) last year. Nevertheless, the ongoing crisis has greatly inspired market players to come together and take decisive joint action.
For 14 years VendExpo has served as a central gathering point for the vending community and representatives of self-service systems in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe. During the exhibition, an international business forum as usual will be held, where topical issues of the vending industry and self-service systems will be discussed.
On March 23, the expo will host the final stage of the VASA (Vending & Automated Services Award) innovative contest. The aim of the Award is to celebrate innovations in the vending market and highlight the current trends. This year, the contest participants submitted 26 prototypes in different sections under Technical Devices, Technical Solutions, Ingredients and Supplies. The relevance and innovation of the entries will be assessed by an international panel of judges, including the EVA. The names of the finalists will be announced in early March, and the winners will receive their awards at an awards ceremony on March 23.
We look forward to this first physical event for our industry this year.
