Visitors, exhibitors and exhibition space all increased for the 20 edition of the show.

Venditalia 2018, held at fieramilanocity from 6 to 9 June and organized every two years by Venditalia Servizi and promoted by CONFIDA, (the Italian Vending Association), achieved a significant increase in relation to key figures. Over 300 companies were present at the show (+20%), visitor numbers grew till almost 20,000 during the 4 days of the exhibition (+ 4%), and 2018 was marked by a significant increased in international participation – both exhibitors (+35%) and non-italian visitors (+16%), allowed organisers to confirm the success of the event.

Ernesto Piloni, President of Venditalia, said, “the event has confirmed all expectations, even exceeding them with record numbers. The 2018 edition marked an important milestone: turning Venditalia into a leading international exhibition. Among other things, Venditalia has turned 20 years this year and we are very happy to be able to celebrate this anniversary with a truly exceptional edition. My thanks also to all the exhibitors present because I saw a very high quality. All of them have significantly increased the care and refinement of the stands and the quality of their offer, thus contributing significantly to the success of the event, which has a more and more international dimension, as witnessed by the records registered by exhibitors and foreign visitors”.

For the first time, Venditalia in 2018 organised a series of seminars, workshops and presentations – a total of 16 events in 3 – and was attended by over 800 people. Topics included technology 4.0, sustainable vending, to the cashless payment methods, amongst others.

The EVA were present at the show with our own booth, and had very interesting discussions with members and non members alike about the current developments in vending, and organised a series of committees, including our Executive Committee, on the fringes of the event. All the key players of the industry were present, and we were able to observe an interested ‘buzz’ from visitors during the exhibition with all the new machines, components and product ranges on display – good signs for our (once again growing) industry.

The next edition of Venditalia will take place in 2020.
