The third edition of Vendex Türkiye 2023, the self-styled vending technologies & self service systems exhibition, was held from 12-14 January in the Istanbul Expo Center.
Vendex Turkey is an international event and is ideally located in a country where two continents meet, as well as being at the centre of a region surrounded by Europe, the Balkan Countries, Africa, and the Middle East. Held in Istanbul, Turkey’s biggest and one of World’s leading cities, the Vendex Exhibition serves as a major commercial platform whereby the international and local players of the industry can come together.
The EVA had a small booth where we could showcase our latest services and activities to attendees. A number of EVA member were also in attendance at the fair, and we were pleased to catch up with them, as well as having good discussions with local companies. While interactions were productive and interesting throughout the fair, it must be noted that there are currently significant economic pressures facing businesses in Türkiye, with inflation currently pushing more than 60%. That being said, as a vending market Türkiye offers huge potential and is for example the market with the lowest machine-per-person penetration rate covered in the annual EVA market report.
We are intrigued as to how the market develops in the coming years, especially when economic pressures reduce, and look forward to returning to Vendex.
