On 29 November, the Spanish Vending Association (ANEDA) hosted its General Assembly Meeting at the picturesque Albeniz Theatre in Madrid. The event brought together industry leaders, operators, and suppliers for an afternoon with insightful discussions and valuable networking opportunities.
The Assembly commenced with the formal proceedings, marked by the adoption of the 2024 budget. Yolanda Carabante, the Director General of ANEDA, and Juan Luís Hernández, the President, took center stage, presenting a quick overview of the association’s recent activities. Emphasising the significance of active participation in a trade association, they highlighted the importance of unity within the industry.
Following this, a dynamic round-table discussion ensued, tackling the pressing challenges posed by the current tense labour market. Three prominent operators shared their insights, shedding light on the complexities of recruiting and retaining skilled personnel. The discussion was expertly moderated by a representative from Michael Page, providing a platform to explore potential solutions to these industry-wide challenges.
The afternoon continued with a delightful walking dinner, fostering a relaxed atmosphere for operators and suppliers to engage in meaningful conversations and exchange thoughts on various industry topics. This convivial setting allowed for fruitful networking opportunities, further strengthening professional relationships within the vending sector.
The European Vending & Coffee Service Association (EVA) was present at the event, with Erwin Wetzel, the Director General, actively participating and contributing to the enriching discussions throughout the day.
