Greener vending
The vending industry contributes in many ways to protecting the environment
All parts of society are getting increasingly aware of the urgency to take measures to protect the environment. Climate and environmental experts have been warning authorities, industries and the general public of the risks of not doing so.
The vending industry is willing to bring its contribution to this global, all-round, effort and in fact has been getting greener for some years. A number of initiatives have been taken by a number of stakeholders, such as machine manufacturers, cup manufacturers, payment systems manufacturers, operators and the food and drink industry.
The role of the EVA is twofold:
- to coordinate and steer this movement by sharing good practice and encouraging members to take action.
- to illustrate and communicate the positive initiatives of the industry to the authorities, environmental NGOs and the general public.
This section is a first collection of initiatives taken by our members in an effort to protect the environment. You can read about other initiatives on our green week page.
