Why join EVA?
- You get the information first.
- Whenever an EU-decision is in the pipeline, the EVA informs and consults you from the very first stages of the decision-making process, when the chances of influencing a Commission proposal are still very high.
Network
The EVA carries out information queries for you thanks to a network of contacts in the business, in other trade sectors (retail, banking, etc), in the EU institutions and in the Member States (via the national associations).
The EVA organises meetings aimed especially at promoting an exchange of information between vending businesses in the various countries. Most EVA Committees, including the Executive Committee, organise regular joint meetings with their corresponding Committee in the National Associations.

Information
The EVA has several publications: a newsletter (summary of activities, news about other organisations / companies, new legislation, etc), an Information for Members (mainly EU-Policy and Association news) and keeps an open channel of quick communication via email.
The EVA is the vending industry’s “legislative watchdog” and “defender”: whenever there is a threat that draft EU-legislation may affect the trade, the EVA warns the member and co-ordinates an efficient response. The EVA is an intermediary between the EU circles and “real business life”. You can be sure that your interests as an industry are taken care of.
If your business has a particular problem or concern, we can set up meetings with EU officials or MEPs. If it is relevant, we can set up a delegation with your colleagues from other businesses to give your arguments more weight.
You have the opportunity to participate in European Parliament Hearings and Commission meetings at a high level and to promote your interests.
Policy Committees and ad hoc expert groups scrutinise EU draft legislation and take actions accordingly, in co-ordination with the Director General, who advises members on the strategy to follow, in light of the EU Institutions’ functioning and priorities.

EVA is pro-active. It drafts standards and operator’s manuals to interpret legislation, it organises seminars on topical issues (HACCP, the euro, mobile applications in vending, Operators’ concerns etc.). It aims to analyse the needs of the business and identify solutions, for example with respect to the changeover to the euro.
By participating in the EVA conferences, you get a unique opportunity to improve your knowledge of a subject and create new contacts.
Your company “joins the EVA club”
You are affiliated to the pan-European representation of the vending industry, recognised as an official interlocutor of the EU Institutions.
You participate in the promotion of the sector’s image vis-à-vis the EU authorities, the press and the public at large.
