Eu'Vend 2011

Eu'Vend took place from 8 to 10 September 2011, and for the first time the trade show was organised in conjunction with Coffeena, the International Coffee Fair.  There were 137 German exhibitors and 96 exhibitors from abroad, a total of 233 exhibitors occupying 16,000 m² of exhibition space.  The European Vending Association was again present at the show, sharing a space on the BDV (German Vending Association) stand.  This shared visibility gave the EVA plenty of opportunity to meet with its members, and to respond to any requests.

The trade show finished with a considerable increase, nearly 16 %, in visitor turnout, about 5,600 trade visitors from 60 countries.  There was a substantial increase in the number of visitors from Germany and from abroad.  The percentage of foreign visitors remained stable at about 38%.  The event also attracted many visitors from the Benelux region, Austria, Poland and France.  Worthy of mention, was the noticeable rise in the number of registered visitors from the Middle East and Asia.

The panel's discussion topic on the “Visions of Vending”, organised by the EVA's media partner, Vending Report, was a resounding success, attracting an audience of over 160 participants.  The in-depth discussions featured well known, vending business experts, such as the EVA's President, Arnaud van Amerongen, who addressed topics of importance for the sector's future including: sustainability, rising costs of energy and raw materials, and premium operating.

The next Eu'Vend + coffeena will take place in Cologne from 5 to 7 September 2013.
